Undercover Video Alleges Intelligence Agencies Spied On Trump, Withheld Information

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL.) called Wednesday for the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to investigate allegations raised by an undercover report from the O’Keefe Media Group. The report claims leaders of the intelligence community withheld information from former President Donald Trump throughout his administration.

In a letter to Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Gaetz wrote, “This footage contains evidence that American intelligence agencies withheld intelligence from President Donald Trump before and during his presidency and used Foreign Intelligence Act (FISA) authorities to spy on President Trump and may be doing so today.”

The undercover video posted by James O’Keefe features Amjad Fseisi, a Deloitte contractor who allegedly worked as a program manager in cyber operations at the CIA and NSA. Fseisi is recorded admitting multiple intelligence agencies intentionally withheld information from Trump over concerns he would “disclose it.”

According to Fseisi, “The executive staff… the director and his subordinates,” which he claimed included former CIA Directors Gina Haspel and Mike Pompeo, made the decision to keep information from Trump “because we knew he’d f—cking disclose it.” Fseisi also accused Trump of being “a Russian asset” and “owned by the f—cking Russians.”

When confronted by O’Keefe, Fseisi denied his statements but admitted working for Deloitte. The CIA called the claims “absolutely false and ridiculous.”
