Record Turnout at Trump Rally in Deep Blue New Jersey

A massive crowd estimated at up to 100,000 people flocked to Wildwood, New Jersey, for former President Donald Trump’s rally, marking a significant political event in the traditionally Democratic state.

Speaking at the rally in the deep-blue state, Trump marveled at the size of the audience, declaring, “There’s so many people here … Man, over 100,000 people!” He also took aim at the media, criticizing their failure to adequately capture the extent of turnout at any of his rallies.

Despite New Jersey’s consistent Democratic voting history in presidential elections, Trump expressed optimism about his prospects in the state for the upcoming 2024 election, confidently stating, “We’re going to win the state of New Jersey.”

Former NFL stars Lawrence Taylor and Ottis Anderson joined Trump on stage, with Taylor declaring his allegiance to the former president and asserting that his family would never vote for a Democrat again.

“I just wanted to say I grew up a Democrat and I’ve always been a Democrat until I met this man right here,” Taylor told the raucous crowd, pointing to Trump. “He will not have to worry about nobody in my family ever voting for a Democrat again.”

The crowd broke out into chants of “U.S.A.” as the NFL legends, both of whom were two-time Super Bowl champions, exited the stage and Trump complimented them as “two great guys.”

The rally also featured the presence of North Dakota Republican Governor Doug Burgum, a potential contender for Trump’s running mate in 2024. Trump praised Burgum’s capabilities and hinted at future developments, teasing the audience with the phrase, “Just get ready for something.”

In his speech, Trump didn’t hold back in his criticism of President Joe Biden, referring to him as a “fool” and signaling a shift in his approach towards the current administration by asserting that “the gloves are off.”
