Antifa-Linked Suspect Arrested In Alabama Bombing

A suspect linked to left-wing domestic terrorist group Antifa was arrested over the February bombing of the Montgomery building housing the Alabama attorney general.

Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert, 26, reportedly is a male who identifies as a female. The resident of Irondale, Alabama, was indicted Wednesday on charges of malicious use of an explosive and possession of an unregistered destructive device.

He faces a possible 30 years in prison if convicted on both charges leveled by the Department of Justice.

According to the indictment, Calvert is accused of attempting to “maliciously damage…the Alabama Attorney General’s Office.”

The fearsome explosion occurred outside of the office of Steve Marshall on Feb. 24. The U.S. Attorney’s office described the device as having “the characteristics of an IED, and Calvert added a substantial number of nails and other shrapnel to increase its destructive capability.”

According to court documents, the device allegedly detonated by Calvert was a “coffee container-like vessel which contained insulation material soaked in a gasoline or lighter fluid substance, a mortar, firecrackers and nails.”

It blew up at roughly 3:42 a.m. There were no injuries.

Investigators also discovered that Calvert vandalized various state government buildings with stickers containing radical left-wing messages. Some supported Antifa while others criticized the police.

The liberal slogans included “Support Your Local Antifa,” a rainbow flag declaring “Anti-Fascism is Community Self-Defense” and an AK-47 imprinted over the words “Defend Nature.”

Calvert reportedly discussed such sentiments extensively on his social media accounts.

Surveillance footage captured from the scene revealed an individual with their face covered with a mask and goggles while wearing dark clothes.

The explosion led to an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) along with state and local law enforcement agencies.

A security officer working at the nearby Southern Poverty Law Center called the police after hearing the detonation. However, Montgomery officers did not detect damage when they arrived, and the bombing was not confirmed until the following Monday morning.

Despite what the Biden administration wants the public to believe, the real threat to domestic tranquility is not from conservatives. Left-wing extremists such as Antifa are emboldened by the free pass they received during the BLM violence, and they must be stopped.
