Jake Paul Vs. Mike Tyson Fight Postponed Due To Ulcer Flare-Up

The highly anticipated boxing match between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has been postponed due to Tyson’s recent health concerns. Most Valuable Promotions, Paul’s boxing promotion company, announced that the 57-year-old Tyson had suffered an ulcer flare-up, which has severely impacted his ability to train and prepare for the fight.

Originally scheduled for July 20th at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, the new date for the fight will be announced on June 7th. In a statement provided by Most Valuable Productions, Tyson expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support and understanding during this time. “My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s, and I will be back to my full training schedule soon. Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end, you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good,” Tyson said.

Paul, 27, also released a statement, saying, “I fully support postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses come fight night. My fans know I don’t want to face Iron Mike at anything but his best, but let there be no mistake – when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish.”

While some may see this fight as a gimmick to generate revenue, others argue that it crosses a line, given Tyson’s age and the fact that he hasn’t had a professional fight since 2005. Regardless of the opinions surrounding the bout, fans will have to wait a little longer to see if the YouTuber can hold his own against the former heavyweight champion.

I guess you could say Mike Tyson’s ulcer flare-up was a real “gut punch” to Jake Paul’s plans!
