White House Sues To Block Texas Illegal Immigration Law

In a move that surprised exactly no one, the Biden White House sued to prevent Texas from enforcing immigration laws that the administration would rather ignore. After all, its goal is to allow as many illegal migrants into the nation as possible.

Just last month, Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law a statute that permitted Texas authorities to arrest those who enter the state illegally between ports of entry.

Much like Trump’s border wall, this could prove effective and therefore drew the wrath of the president and fellow Democrats.

Those apprehended by law enforcement must choose to either stay in the Lone Star State under incarceration or willingly be deported to Mexico. Being in the state illegally carries a potential jail term of up to six months, and repeat offenders face possible felonies with much longer sentences.

Despite the obviously dire illegal migrant situation that is only exacerbated by Washington’s failure to act, Texas may face an uphill climb in the court system.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Arizona v. U.S. that the federal government is fully responsible for deporting those in the country illegally.

Abbott, however, is undeterred. He pledged he is ready to take the fight over open borders to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary. The Republican is consistent in his demands that Texas must not be left to fend for itself as Washington turns a blind eye to the illegal migrant invasion.

Spokesperson Renae Eze decried “President Biden’s deliberate and dangerous inaction at our southern border.” She charged it left Texas with no other option but to defend its citizens from the deluge of migrants pouring in.

Eze added, “Gov. Abbot signed Bill 4 into law last week to help stop the tidal wave of illegal entry into Texas as the President refuses to enforce federal immigration laws.”

Of course, the clash between Abbott and the Biden White House is just entering another phase. The Texas Republican also drew the ire of leftist Democratic mayors when he embarked on shipping illegal migrants to their so-called “sanctuary” cities.

This quickly disproved just how little the leadership of New York City and Chicago were willing to take any and all comers.

Now they are crawling to Washington hat in hand for assistance after being “overrun” by illegals.
