USAID Headquarters Stripped Of Name As Trump Cuts Off Leftist Slush Fund

The United States Agency for International Development has had its name erased from its headquarters, marking a significant step in the Trump administration’s efforts to shut down the agency. The removal follows an audit that uncovered USAID’s role in media influence, global activism, and controversial spending programs that diverted taxpayer money away from domestic priorities.

One of the most striking revelations was USAID’s financial control over Ukraine’s media. Reports confirm that nine out of ten news outlets in the country relied on foreign funding, with USAID acting as their primary backer. With the agency’s financial support now cut off, these outlets are left seeking alternative sources, raising concerns about who will now shape Ukraine’s press.

USAID also directed millions of taxpayer dollars to ideological projects worldwide. Funding records reveal grants for LGBT lobbying in Serbia and a transgender opera in Colombia. Other money was allocated to a Sesame Street program in Iraq, gender-focused journalism training in Sri Lanka, and a transgender comic book in Peru.

Financial documents show that Black Lives Matter also received significant USAID-backed funding. The Soros-funded Tides Center was granted $24.7 million, later distributing over $12.6 million to BLM-affiliated groups. This money was used while the movement led widespread protests in 2020, which resulted in billions of dollars in destruction and economic losses.

The agency’s actions have sparked concerns in the European Parliament. A German lawmaker has called for an investigation into USAID’s potential role in shaping elections across multiple EU nations. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has also pledged to disclose all U.S. funding directed toward foreign-backed activist groups and media outlets in Hungary.

Further scrutiny has tied USAID to President Donald Trump’s first impeachment. Reports indicate that a CIA whistleblower who played a key role in the proceedings relied on sources funded by USAID and the State Department.

Now, with the agency’s name stripped from its headquarters, USAID’s ability to operate freely appears to be coming to an end under the Trump administration.
