Trump Responds As Walz’s Tough Talk Sparks WWE Challenge From Kane

Tim Walz’s comments about Trump voters just earned him a wrestling challenge from a Hall of Famer. Kane, the WWE icon and now mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, called out the Minnesota governor after Walz claimed he could physically take on most of President Donald Trump’s supporters.

Kane posted on X, offering to face Walz in a charity match and pledged a $10,000 donation upfront. He added hashtags like #LetsDance and #TennesseeWalz, along with a mocked-up image of Walz in a rainbow leotard.

Walz made the comment during a podcast with California Gov. Gavin Newsom. In the middle of a conversation about political messaging, Walz claimed he could “kick most of their a**.” He said Republicans feared him because he could fix a truck and “wasn’t bulls****ing.”

President Trump was asked about the comment during a press event in the Oval Office. “He’d be in trouble,” Trump said. “He’s a loser. He actually played a part in their failure. He might’ve dragged Kamala’s campaign down with him.”

Walz ran alongside Kamala Harris in 2024 and has left the door open for a 2028 presidential run. But recent polling showed him getting just 5% support among Democrats and independents.

Outside politics, Walz’s policies on transgender athletes have stirred national attention. He signed Minnesota’s “trans refuge” law and more recently allowed the state’s high school sports league to defy Trump’s federal ban on males competing in women’s athletics.

Former NFL safety Jack Brewer criticized Walz over that issue, calling him a “disgrace to the football world” and accusing him of failing boys who grow up in competitive sports. Brewer backed a state bill that would have banned biological males from girls’ teams, but Democrats rejected it in committee.
