Trump-Backed Schimel Battles Left’s Map Power Grab In Wisconsin Court Race

With Wisconsin’s Supreme Court up for grabs, conservatives are warning that a loss could hand Democrats a roadmap to redraw the country’s political landscape. President Donald Trump is urging voters to show up early and support Judge Brad Schimel before it’s too late.

The court has played a major role in key political battles — from COVID-era restrictions to redistricting. Now, with one seat open, the majority could swing back to the right if Schimel defeats Democratic-aligned Judge Susan Crawford.

Trump has used his Truth Social platform to draw attention to the race, blasting Crawford’s sentencing record and warning that her win would spell disaster for conservative values, law enforcement and the Constitution.

A recent donor briefing from Wisconsin Democrats revealed their long-term plan: flip the court, redraw congressional maps and grab two Republican House seats by 2026. The GOP says this proves the left’s intention to use the judiciary to seize power.

Massive financial support has flooded in from national donors. Musk-backed organizations are boosting Schimel, while Soros and Pritzker are backing Crawford. Ads and mailers have saturated the state in what’s become the most expensive court race in U.S. history.

Conservative activists say this is the moment that could decide whether Trump’s momentum continues or hits a roadblock. Scott Presler and others have launched major turnout efforts across the state.

Wisconsin’s top Republicans, including Sen. Ron Johnson and former Gov. Scott Walker, have all stressed that conservative voters cannot afford to sit this one out. The court’s direction — and the country’s — could hinge on what happens April 1.
