The unfolding legal drama involving Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her appointed special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, is more than just another headline in the case against President Donald Trump and several of his associates. It shows a narrative that intertwines alleged personal misconduct with potential misuse of public funds, raising serious ethical and legal questions.
The recent court filing by defendant Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official, casts a dark shadow of doubt over the integrity of the prosecution, accusing Willis and Wade of a covert affair and alleging the misappropriation of public funds for personal use.
Wow –
Fulton County DA Fani Willis (allegedly) sleeping with the Special Prosecutor she appointed.
His earnings – stemming from her appointment – have paid "for both of them to travel on both the Norwegian and Royal Caribbean cruise lines."

Roman’s explosive allegations suggest that Willis misused funds initially allocated to clear the backlog of cases in Fulton County following the COVID-19 pandemic. The filing asserts that instead of using these funds for their intended purpose, they were redirected to prosecute the case against Trump and allegedly benefit Willis and Wade personally.
The depth of these allegations extends to Wade’s appointment as the special prosecutor. Under Georgia law, such an appointment requires prior approval from Fulton County. That step was never properly taken. That glaring omission, in combination with Wade’s failure to file his oath of office and his ongoing divorce proceedings as required, adds multiple layers of suspicion to the case.
Further complicating the matter is the claim that the personal relationship between Willis and Wade began before the prosecution was initiated and before Wade’s appointment. This detail, if accurate, reveals blatant nepotism and conflicts of interest. Moreover, to date, Wade has allegedly been paid nearly $1 million in taxpayer funding for legal fees approved by his romantic partner Willis.
In a normally functioning judicial system, the shocking allegations, if proven, would have significant and far-reaching implications. The defense argues that the indictment against Roman is fundamentally flawed due to the alleged failure to follow proper legal procedures and the conflict of interest created by the personal relationship between Willis and Wade. The motion asks the court to dismiss all the charges against Roman and disqualify Willis and Wade from any further participation in the matter.
The allegations in the Roman case further complicate the Georgia charges against Trump and the other defendants. If the facts alleged by Roman’s legal team are found to be accurate, it is hard to conceive of any legitimate way the other cases could proceed as planned.
The public must now wait for action from the Georgia judicial system. Allowing the alleged conduct to go unchecked would not only compromise the current case but also set a dangerous precedent for future legal proceedings involving not only national political figures but every American.
