RNC Adopts Trump-Backed Platform Focused On National Security And Economic Growth

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has approved a new party platform, strongly influenced by former President Donald Trump, as the 2024 election approaches. The document, titled “To the Forgotten Men and Women of America,” outlines a series of promises aimed at addressing key issues facing the nation.

The platform emphasizes stringent immigration policies, starting with a pledge to “seal the border and stop the migrant invasion.” It also seeks to “end inflation, and make America affordable again,” reflecting concerns over the current economic climate and proposing measures to alleviate financial pressures on American families.

A recurring theme in the platform is the emphasis on “common sense” governance. The document states, “We will be a Nation based on Truth, Justice, and Common Sense. Common Sense tells us clearly, in President Trump’s words, that ‘If we don’t have a Border, we don’t have a Country.’ Restoring sensible Border Security and Immigration Policy requires many steps, all of which would have been and indeed were taken for granted by prior Generations as obviously necessary and good.”

The platform promises to defend constitutional rights, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to bear arms. It also includes a commitment to preventing World War III by building a comprehensive Iron Dome missile defense shield over the entire country, a move aimed at enhancing national security.

Economic policies are also a significant focus, with promises to turn the United States into a “manufacturing superpower” and stop outsourcing jobs. This includes implementing large tax cuts for workers and eliminating taxes on tips, aimed at boosting the economy and providing relief to the working class.

The RNC also plans to cut federal funding for schools that promote critical race theory and radical gender ideology, emphasizing a return to traditional educational values. Additionally, the platform aims to deport pro-Hamas radicals and ensure college campuses are safe and patriotic, reflecting concerns over campus safety and ideological influences.

By presenting a mix of security, economic, and social policies, the RNC aims to appeal to conservative voters and address the pressing issues facing the nation. The platform’s dedication to common sense solutions and commitment to key principles positions the party for success in the upcoming election.
