NYC Pizzeria Worker In Critical Condition After Violent Pit Bull Attack

A New York City pizzeria worker is in critical condition after being savagely attacked by a pit bull and its owner outside a Manhattan restaurant. The incident took place Monday evening at Roma Pizza on Fifth Avenue after the employee asked Tyshaun Watson to take his unleashed dog outside.

According to witnesses, Watson responded by violently attacking the worker, first punching him behind the counter before the fight moved onto the street. That’s when Watson’s pit bull joined the assault, viciously biting the employee. A co-worker described the horrific scene: “The dog was biting him, and [Watson] kept stomping on his head until he was unconscious.”

After the attack, Watson allegedly told the dog it would not be fed because it didn’t “finish the job.” He then casually returned inside the pizzeria and waited for police to arrive.

The pizzeria employees, fearing further violence, fled the restaurant and locked Watson inside until authorities arrived. Video footage showed Watson being arrested with a visible bite wound on his arm, possibly inflicted by his own dog during the altercation.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive his injuries. Police have since taken custody of the pit bull, although they have not yet decided if it will be euthanized. Watson faces charges of attempted murder as the investigation continues.

This shocking incident has raised concerns about public safety and the responsibility of dog owners, particularly in crowded urban settings like New York City.
