Matt Gaetz: 5 Assassination Teams Targeting Trump, Security Concerns Raised

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz revealed during an interview with Breitbart News Daily that at least five assassination teams are currently in the U.S. and are intent on killing President Donald Trump. Gaetz, citing information from a senior Homeland Security official, stated that three of these teams are foreign in origin, and two are domestic.

Gaetz expressed frustration with what he views as a lack of sufficient protection around Trump. He pointed to a recent attempt by suspect Ryan Routh outside Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course as evidence of ongoing threats. “I don’t think we should be allowing people to set up for an extended period of time and wait to take their shot,” Gaetz said.

The foreign teams reportedly hail from Iran, Ukraine, and Pakistan, while the two domestic teams remain a significant concern. Gaetz called for a reevaluation of the protective measures in place, highlighting that some resources have been diverted away from Trump’s detail to other assignments.

Gaetz’s comments come in the wake of two failed assassination attempts against Trump, one of which resulted in the death of a supporter and left Trump injured. With more threats on the horizon, Gaetz urged Congress to investigate whether Trump’s protective detail is adequate.
