Germany’s First Permanent Foreign Military Deployment Since WWII
While the Biden administration continues its reckless proxy war in Ukraine, our NATO allies in Europe are preparing for what appears to be an inevitable escalation. Germany has now deployed troops to Lithuania along NATO’s eastern flank – their first permanent foreign military placement since Hitler’s forces were scattered across Europe. The 45 Armoured Brigade became operational following an activation ceremony in Vilnius, with around 150 German military personnel currently stationed there. That number is expected to increase to 500 by year-end, with Germany pledging a permanent brigade of up to 5,000 soldiers by 2027.
Watch coverage of Germany’s troop deployment to Lithuania.
Brigadier General Christoph Huber, who leads this new deployment, has made their mission crystal clear: “We have a clear mission. We have to ensure the protection, freedom and security of our Lithuanian allies here on NATO’s eastern flank.” Translation: We’re positioning combat forces directly on Russia’s doorstep. The brigade will be based at new barracks in Rūdninkai, conveniently located near the Lithuanian-Belarus border. Nothing says “we come in peace” like placing a fully armed military brigade right at your adversary’s threshold as noted in this post.

Secret German Documents Reveal WWIII Preparations
If you think this deployment is just routine NATO business, think again. Recently leaked secret German documents reveal an extensive 1,000-page blueprint ominously titled “Operation Deutschland” that details preparations for a potential World War III scenario. The plan includes provisions for deploying up to 800,000 NATO troops, including Americans, into Ukraine if Russia pushes deeper into the region. Let that sink in – nearly a million Western troops potentially fighting Russians on Ukrainian soil. What could possibly go wrong?
“We must not let ourselves be intimidated,” said German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
The German plans don’t stop at troop deployments. They’re also preparing to move 200,000 military vehicles across German territory if needed. Meanwhile, German citizens are being advised to boost their self-sufficiency with diesel generators or wind turbines – you know, just normal peacetime recommendations. Germany’s not alone in preparing for the worst. Sweden and Norway have also issued guidance for citizens on preparing for potential conflict spillover as reported in this post. Remember when conservatives warning about World War III were dismissed as alarmists?
Russia’s Nuclear Response and Strategic Escalation
While NATO continues its eastward creep, Vladimir Putin has responded by changing Russia’s nuclear strike policy to potentially use nuclear weapons in response to conventional attacks. But German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock assures us there’s nothing to worry about, claiming “Putin is playing with our fear.” Perhaps she missed the memo that fear serves a purpose when someone with thousands of nuclear warheads is directly threatening your existence. The Biden administration, apparently bored with merely supplying weapons, has now allowed Ukraine to use longer-range missiles against targets inside Russia – further escalating a conflict we have no business being in.
“Putin is playing with our fear. He didn’t just start doing this 1,000 days ago [when Russia invaded Ukraine], he started back in 2014 [when Russia annexed Crimea],”said German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
Russia isn’t taking these provocations lying down. They’ve sought military support from North Korea, potentially involving up to 110,000 troops. We’re witnessing the formation of a new anti-Western military alliance in real time, as reported here, all while our current leadership seems determined to push us closer to the brink. Former President Trump has repeatedly warned about the potential for World War III, with Russia, North Korea, and Iran involved in conflicts with US allies. But the Biden administration and NATO seem intent on testing these warnings rather than heeding them.
The Trump Card for Peace?
There may be a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Ukrainian President Zelensky has expressed optimism about Trump’s election, believing it could lead to a swifter end to the war. Trump has indicated he wouldn’t oppose Ukraine firing into Russia, but he’s also consistently emphasized his desire to negotiate an end to the conflict rather than continuing the endless cycle of escalation and weapon shipments. With Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service now anticipating Moscow may be planning for major war with NATO, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Trump’s return to the White House in January.
“We must invest in our own security and protection,” said German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
The permanent stationing of German troops in Lithuania represents a significant turning point in European security. We’ve moved from sanctions and tough talk to actual boots on the ground in a direct challenge to Russian influence. Whether this represents prudent deterrence or dangerous provocation depends entirely on your perspective. What’s clear is that the chess pieces for a much larger conflict are being methodically positioned across the board while most Americans remain blissfully unaware of just how close we may be to a catastrophic global confrontation.
