Brigadier General Christoph Huber, who leads this new deployment, has made their mission crystal clear: “We have a clear mission. We have to ensure the protection, freedom and security of our Lithuanian allies here on NATO’s eastern flank.” Translation: We’re positioning combat forces directly on Russia’s doorstep.
