Federal Judge Stops Biden Administration From Selling Border Materials

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton scored a legal victory on December 27, successfully halting the Biden Administration’s efforts to sell border wall materials. A federal judge issued a 30-day order preventing further disposals, allowing President-elect Donald Trump’s administration to retain access to the resources.

The ruling comes after reports revealed the Biden Administration had been auctioning segments of the wall for minimal returns. Paxton argued the sales violated a court order from May 2024 that required federal funds allocated for the wall to be used as intended.

In court, the Biden Administration acknowledged the sales and agreed to comply with the judge’s directive. The court also granted Texas access to documentation proving compliance with both the May injunction and the new order. Misrepresentation or further violations could result in legal sanctions or contempt charges.

The case, covered by KVIA, underscores the ongoing legal battle over immigration policy. “This decision ensures President Trump can continue addressing the urgent need for border security,” Paxton stated. He accused the Biden Administration of prioritizing political obstruction over national safety.

The case highlights the intensifying legal battles over immigration policy as Trump prepares to take office.
