The ruling comes after reports revealed the Biden Administration had been auctioning segments of the wall for minimal returns. Paxton argued the sales violated a court order from May 2024 that required federal funds allocated for the wall to be used as intended.

In court, the Biden Administration acknowledged the sales and agreed to comply with the judge’s directive. The court also granted Texas access to documentation proving compliance with both the May injunction and the new order. Misrepresentation or further violations could result in legal sanctions or contempt charges.
