Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), who is running for the Senate against incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), is under scrutiny following reports that he attended an event where attendees were provided information on how to evade law enforcement as an illegal alien, particularly immigration authorities.
According to Fox News, the event, hosted by the Dallas County Democrat Party earlier this month, included the distribution of “Know Your Rights Cards” aimed at advising illegal aliens on how to handle encounters with immigration agents.
The red cards contain instructions such as refraining from opening the door if approached by an immigration agent, exercising the right to remain silent, seeking legal counsel before signing anything and requesting permission to leave if stopped outside the home.

These cards are attributed to the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, known for its left-leaning advocacy, which reportedly receives support from Democrat megadonor George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.
Additionally, the report highlights Allred’s voting record, indicating a history of opposing measures aimed at strengthening border security. This comes at a time when the U.S.-Mexico border has faced a surge in illegal crossings under the Biden administration.
Cruz criticized Allred in an interview with Fox News Digital last week, linking him to leftist donors allegedly associated with funding anti-Israel protests on college campuses. Cruz accused Allred of accepting significant financial contributions from donors with ties to these protests, including Soros, the Rockefeller brothers, and the Gates family.
“Those protests are being funded by Joe Biden and the Democrats’ top donors,” Cruz said of his Senate race opponent. “They’re being funded by George Soros and the Rockefeller brothers and Bill and Melinda Gates and the Pritzkers. Those folks are not just Joe Biden’s top donors. They’re among Colin Allred’s top donors.”
“Colin Allred has accepted $80,000 from those donors that are funding the anti-Israel, antisemitic protests on college campuses,” Cruz added.
Cruz’s remarks underscore the broader political context surrounding Allred’s candidacy, with immigration policy and foreign funding becoming focal points in the Texas Senate race.
Allred’s campaign has not yet responded to these allegations, but they add another layer of contention to an already heated race, as both candidates vie for support in a state known for its conservative leanings.
