Despite his historically low approval rating and widespread concerns about his age, President Joe Biden has continued to raise millions of dollars to support his ongoing re-election bid.
Reports indicate the Biden campaign raked in about $10 million in a single day following the president’s recent State of the Union address. That sum came on top of the whopping $53 million Democrats raised on behalf of the incumbent candidate last month alone.

February’s fundraising efforts included a trip the president took to California, which included events in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
All told, the campaign is currently operating with a warchest of about $155 million in cash, with the vast majority of the nearly 3.4 million donations collected thus far coming in at $200 or less.
The Biden campaign released its latest fundraising numbers earlier this week, noting that roughly 1.3 million individuals have donated thus far.
Despite outpacing the campaign of former President Donald Trump, the Biden team clearly understands that the upcoming general election is shaping up to be a much closer race than the Democratic Party would prefer.
“The stakes of this election couldn’t be higher for the future of this country,” Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez asserted. “And our historic fundraising operation is making sure every voter knows these stakes come November.”
While nationwide polling shows Biden and Trump in a statistical dead heat, the presumptive GOP nominee edges out his Democratic rival in various swing states where the outcome of the election will likely be decided.
Deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty also described the fundraising haul as a positive sign for the president.
“It gives you a barometer of the grassroots enthusiasm, particularly at this stage of the race,” he said. “It’s going to hockey stick. And your goal at this stage of the race is to get the baseline from which you hockey stick to be as high as possible. And that happens because you’ve got really enthusiastic supporters.”
The Republican National Committee, under new leadership after concerns about how funds were being managed, offered potential donors a transparent assessment of the situation in an ad that has been running on social media in recent weeks.
“Here’s the honest truth: things aren’t looking too good for Republicans,” the RNC acknowledged. “The Democrats are outraising us. They will be able to buy ads in markets we can’t afford, and they will OUTSPEND US. We are gearing up for the election of our lifetime.”
