Babylon Bee Writers Targeted By SPLC Doxxing Campaign

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has come under fire for doxxing anonymous writers for Not the Bee, a non-satirical site tied to the Babylon Bee. Critics argue the move represents an assault on free speech and an attempt to intimidate conservative voices into silence.

Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon condemned the SPLC’s actions, accusing the organization of targeting individuals for their beliefs. “They did it because they’re vindictive bullies who’ve admitted their aim is to ‘completely destroy’ individuals and organizations they disagree with,” Dillon said.

The SPLC defended its decision, stating that the writers’ content “works to dehumanize transgender individuals, the entire LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities, and people of color.” The group added, “This divisive commentary has no place in our society.”

Not the Bee responded with an article highlighting the disconnect between the SPLC’s claims and the values of many Americans. “The majority of Americans just voted for the enforcement of our border laws, removing the religious material of the gender cult from schools, and limiting the ability of doctors to sterilize kids,” the site noted.

Free speech advocates and critics of the SPLC have argued that the doxxing campaign reflects a broader effort to suppress conservative perspectives. Many see it as a dangerous precedent that threatens the constitutional rights of individuals to express their opinions without fear of retaliation.

The incident has sparked renewed debate over the balance between protecting vulnerable groups and preserving the right to free speech in a politically polarized society.
