The adult film industry, through its “Hands Off My Porn” campaign, is falsely claiming that President Donald Trump is connected to Project 2025, a conservative policy plan developed by the Heritage Foundation. Despite these claims, Trump has consistently stated that he is not involved with the project and is instead focused on his own platform, Agenda 47.
The campaign alleges that Project 2025 is aimed at cracking down on pornography, but there is no evidence that Trump supports this initiative. His policy focus is on Agenda 47, which outlines his plans for governing if re-elected in 2024.
The adult film industry’s campaign has also targeted other conservative leaders, including Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), both of whom have expressed concerns about pornography’s influence on society. However, neither has advocated for a nationwide ban on adult content, as the campaign implies.
Laws passed in states like Utah, Arkansas and Louisiana require age verification on adult websites to prevent minors from accessing explicit material. These state laws are designed to protect children and are not part of any federal initiative involving Project 2025 or Trump’s Agenda 47.
Harris’ allies in the adult film industry appear to be using this false narrative for political gain as the election nears, despite Trump’s clear statements that he is not connected to Project 2025 and is running on his own agenda.
